U.S. Route 1
The East Coast's Maine-to-Florida highway
U.S. Route 1 is the great eastern seaboard highway, running about 2,370 miles (3,814 km) from Fort Kent, Maine, on the Canadian border to Key West, Florida. Stringing together the East Coast's major cities — Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, and Miami — it is one of the longest and most historic numbered routes in the country, ending at the famous Overseas Highway to the Keys.
