The World Trade Bridge at Laredo, Texas, spans the Rio Grande into Nuevo Laredo and is the busiest commercial truck crossing on the U.S.-Mexico border - and one of the busiest land freight gateways in the world. Reserved for cargo trucks, it carries a huge volume of the trade between the two countries, much of it auto parts and manufactured goods.

Laredo as a whole handles more land trade than any other U.S. port of entry, the funnel point where Interstate 35 - the "NAFTA highway" - meets Mexico's northern industrial corridor.
