The Broad
Contemporary art behind a "veil and vault"
The Broad in downtown Los Angeles is a contemporary-art museum opened in 2015 to house the collection of philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad. Its striking honeycomb-like "veil" facade and free admission have made it hugely popular, and its holdings include Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Rooms and major works by Jeff Koons, Warhol, and Basquiat.
