The Tail of the Dragon is an 11-mile stretch of U.S. Route 129 at Deals Gap on the North Carolina–Tennessee line, famous for packing 318 curves into its short length with no intersecting roads or driveways. A mecca for motorcyclists and sports-car drivers, it is one of the most celebrated driving roads in the country.
