The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, is a historic open-air stadium seating about 88,500, opened in 1922 and best known for hosting the annual Rose Bowl Game each New Year's Day. A National Historic Landmark, it has also hosted Super Bowls, World Cup and Olympic soccer finals, and is home to UCLA Bruins football. Its oval bowl set against the San Gabriel Mountains is one of the most storied venues in American sport.
