New England's great art museum
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is one of the largest and most comprehensive art museums in the country, with nearly half a million works spanning ancient Egyptian art, a celebrated collection of Impressionist paintings, American art, and Asian art. Founded in 1870, it moved to its grand Beaux-Arts home in the Fenway in 1909.
