The Jolly Green Giant Statue

The town of Blue Earth, Minnesota, home of a Green Giant vegetable cannery, celebrates its heritage with a 55-foot fiberglass statue of the Jolly Green Giant, the smiling advertising mascot. Erected in 1979 near Interstate 90, the towering green figure is a classic example of the American habit of building giant roadside mascots.
