EPCOT, the second park built at Walt Disney World, opened in 1982 and is instantly recognized by Spaceship Earth, the giant geodesic sphere at its entrance. Divided between a future-focused World Celebration and Discovery area and a World Showcase ringing a lagoon with pavilions themed to eleven nations, it drew roughly 13 million visitors in 2024, among the most-visited theme parks in the world.
