Dugway Proving Ground
The remote chemical-and-biological test range
Dugway Proving Ground is a vast, isolated U.S. Army installation in the western Utah desert used to test chemical and biological defenses. Larger than the state of Rhode Island and surrounded by empty salt flats and mountains, its extreme remoteness and secrecy — and its own restricted airspace — have made it, like nearby ranges, a subject of conspiracy speculation. It remains a closed, active military test site.
