The roller coaster capital of the world
Cedar Point occupies a sandy peninsula on Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio, a park famous for its dense collection of record-setting roller coasters that has earned it the nickname "the roller coaster capital of the world." Opened in 1870, it is one of the oldest amusement parks in the country and drew on the order of 3.5 million visitors in 2024.
