The Cabazon Dinosaurs
Giant roadside dinosaurs off Interstate 10
The Cabazon Dinosaurs are two enormous concrete dinosaurs — a 150-foot Apatosaurus named Dinny and a towering Tyrannosaurus rex — beside Interstate 10 near Palm Springs, California. Built by a restaurateur beginning in the 1960s to draw travelers off the highway, they appeared in the film Pee-wee's Big Adventure and remain one of the most recognizable roadside attractions in the West.
