The Blue Whale of Catoosa is a smiling concrete whale beside a pond on old Route 66 in Catoosa, Oklahoma, built in the early 1970s by a man as an anniversary gift to his wife. Once a local swimming hole, the eighty-foot whale fell into disrepair before being restored by volunteers, and it is now one of the most cherished and photographed stops on the Mother Road.
